About this Conference

Networks of Design responds to recent academic interest in the fields of design history,
technology and the social sciences in the 'networks' of interactions that inform knowledge formation and design. Studying networks foregrounds infrastructure, negotiations, processes, strategies of interconnection, and the heterogeneous relationships between people and things.

The conference aims to provide an inclusive theme for historians, researchers, practitioners and academics working across the various design disciplines whilst offering the opportunity for fertile interdisciplinary engagement.

Notes on Fee Structure
- The delegate fee includes reception (Wednesday 3rd September), lunch (Thursday 4th/Friday 5th September only), refreshments during the conference and coach transportation to the reception at the Poly, Falmouth.
- All speakers and convenors are considered to be delegates.
- Speakers must pay their delegate fees by 31st July 2008 in order to secure place at the Conference.
- Early registration is available until 1st July 2008.
- Membership of the Design History Society will allow you to take immediate advantage of the DHS Member Conference Fee.

Terms and Conditions
University College Falmouth reserve the right to alter the venue, and/or the conference programme at any time, without prior notification. Also, if an event is cancelled (e.g. an excursion), the event fee will be refunded. Full terms and conditions are available from Events.coordinator@tremoughservices.com
   
Cancellation of registration, campus accommodation and refund policy for delegates.
Please note that fees will not be refunded unless written notice of withdrawal is received as follows:
- Cancellation before 1 July 2008: 90% of the paid amount refunded
- Cancellation between 1 July and 31 July 2008: 50% of paid amount refunded
- Cancellation after 31 July 2008: no refunds
